Forming an orderly Q: Creating a new brand from scratch.

Client: Q Design & Construct

Situation: A new industrial building company was conceived as a spin-off or sister company to one of Perth’s most progressive structural and civil engineering firms, Peritas.

Brief: Support our friends at Luminosity in creating a new brand from scratch. For us, as freelance copywriters, that meant developing a new name, writing a new website and brochures, as well as helping the new team find their collective identity online, particularly on LinkedIn.

Deliverables: First, we worked with the client to develop a new name. The client was keen to do something different, so we explored a range of leftfield options and settled on Q (which has symbolic connotations around innovation and creativity – key themes for the new brand).

We then developed the Q tagline and established the Q brand voice, before switching to website copywriter mode to develop the IA and web content for the new Q website.
