Back in April 2020, Australia was still coming to terms with the impacts of the most catastrophic bushfires in living memory. The first wave of COVID was sweeping the globe. The depressing-as-hell news dial had been turned up to 11. But then we got an enquiry from the founder of zero-carbon 2030, Duncan Ritchie.
Here was a guy finding solutions to humanity’s greatest challenge- climate change - that make good business sense. A guy who clearly understood that, even when you’re an up-start start-up, getting your brand personality, voice and core messaging nailed from day one is absolutely crucial. Especially when you’ve got an urgent mission to go global, motivate businesses to take faster, bolder action on climate change, and save humanity.
Dream client. Dream job.
So we were thrilled to get the gig and get stuck into the challenge – developing zero-carbon 2030’s voice as the ‘Pragmatic activist’ and weaving it through the brand story and website content, right through to a press release announcing the launch of zero-carbon 2030.
Did our copywriters nail it?

“Climate change is a complex subject. We wanted to make it accessible to all. And we knew how important our brand voice and communication would be. We needed to get it right the first time. Jo and the Caboodle team did an amazing job. We’ve had great feedback on the website from our community. We’d work with Jo and the Caboodle team again in a heartbeat.”
— Duncan Ritchie, Founder CEO zero-carbon 2030.
